Rendering Diamonds

One of the biggest challenges in CG is to render diamonds , this is because of the complex structure of the diamond itself and the complex optics involved in the way light refract and reflect inside and outside the diamond. In fact in real diamonds light is "trapped" inside them, reflecting and refracting many times on many surfaces in many angles.
